Universal Washrooms Project @ MJMA Architecture

During a Design Research Internship (DRIP) at MJMA Architecture, specializing in campus and high-performance sports facilities, I delved into design research strategies, focusing on user spatial analysis and the firm's integration of universal washrooms and changerooms. I interpreted existing conceptual design features into quantitative data, creating a comprehensive repository of over 100 drawings, including spatial analysis diagrams, user-function diagrams, pie charts, user experience collages, and key plans. This work enabled MJMA to present the strategies and benefits of universal spaces clearly and socially consciously. My research provided quantitative evidence of the spatial efficiency of universal spaces, contributing to MJMA’s developing “Engagement” section of its portfolio and serving as a reference for future presentations, educational sessions, and publications.
